Vertical gardens include any vegetation that grows along a vertical front. A simple example is a vine that grows up a trellis or against a wall. Living walls are a form of vertical gardening where the soil and the plants are a part of the wall structure itself. The plants involved receive water and nutrients from the wall structure as opposed to sources at ground level.
